Students and Families, Welcome!
Welcome to my science class. This year I will be teaching both 6th and 7th grade classes in room 702. I am so excited to teach all of your students. In class we will be doing a mixture of activities as students engage in project based learning. All activities are designed to increase science content knowledge but also communication, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity. Science practices are used no matter where the future takes you, and that will be practiced in this class.
My main form of communication to students will be in class as well as Google Classroom. Parents and Guardian's, I will most often contact you through email and Skyward messages. This communication will be routine updates throughout the year, and also on an as needed basis with each individual student. I look forward to getting to know you over the course of this year.
Grading
Google Classroom is not a gradebook. For grades and missing assignments, please check Skyward. Your student is responsible for communication with me regarding grades. Please encourage your student to start growing their own academic responsibility and have them come to me in class, or email me for any of their grading needs. If you feel the need to step in after they have communicated with me, then feel free to email me at [email protected]
